Empower Ability exists because support should never feel like a transaction. It should feel like trust, respect and genuine partnership, delivered by people who work alongside you, not over you.

Why We Exist

Empower Ability exists to make disability support simpler, safer and more personal. We work alongside participants, families, carers and allied health professionals to deliver support that is culturally safe, trauma-informed and genuinely led by the person receiving it.

Our role starts with listening. From there, we build trust, understand what matters to each person, and support them to live with dignity, choice and control.

Mohan Subedi
Chief Executive Officer

As CEO of Empower Ability Disability Support Services, Mohan is passionate about building an organisation where people feel genuinely heard, valued and supported. A Registered Nurse with hands-on experience in the disability sector, he brings a strong commitment to quality, safety and person-centred care to everything the organisation does. Mohan's focus is on building meaningful relationships with participants and families, and leading a team that shares that same commitment to making a real difference.

Empower Ability was built on a simple belief: support should never feel like just a service. It should be built on trust, respect, genuine relationships, and understanding each person as an individual.

Dewakar Bhattarai
Director

As Director of Empower Ability Disability Support Services, Dewakar brings more than six years of experience across the disability sector and in management roles. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams has given him a deep appreciation for collaboration, clear communication and coordinated support.

Dewakar is committed to building an organisation where participants receive reliable, respectful and person-centred support. His leadership focuses on building strong teams, maintaining high standards of service delivery, and making sure participants and their families feel heard, valued and supported.

Quality support is built through teamwork, trust and truly understanding the people we support. When we work together with participants, families and professionals, we can create meaningful outcomes that make a genuine difference.
