People First. Always.
Empower Ability exists because support should never feel like a transaction. It should feel like trust, respect and genuine partnership, delivered by people who work alongside you, not over you.
Why We Exist
Empower Ability exists to make disability support simpler, safer and more personal. We work alongside participants, families, carers and allied health professionals to deliver support that is culturally safe, trauma-informed and genuinely led by the person receiving it.
Our role starts with listening. From there, we build trust, understand what matters to each person, and support them to live with dignity, choice and control.
To help every person access the support they need, make informed choices, and participate in life on their own terms.
What We're Working Towards
Six clear goals guide how we deliver, grow and improve every day.
Deliver integrated disability supports that close service gaps and make support easier, clearer and more coordinated for participants and families.
Support people to build everyday skills, confidence and independence, in a way that is evidence-based, safe, within scope, and responsive to each person's functional, emotional and everyday needs.
Build genuine partnerships where each person's voice, choices, culture and goals guide the decisions made about their own support.
Uphold every person's right to be respected, heard, included and supported to make informed decisions about their own life.
Deliver culturally responsive support for people from CALD communities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, with respect for identity, language and connection to community.
Use reflection, feedback and best practice to keep improving the quality and safety of the supports we deliver.
The Values That Guide Us
Our values aren't statements on paper. They shape how we listen, plan, document, deliver support and build trust with people and communities.
Every person is treated as a person first, with unconditional worth, respect and humanity.
People lead their own journey. Their choices, goals and voice shape the support they receive.
We respect culture, language, identity and community, with a strong commitment to CALD and First Nations participants.
We act honestly and transparently, document accurately, and take responsibility for our practice.
We work together with participants, families, carers and multidisciplinary professionals.
Supports are delivered safely and professionally, in line with each person's needs and goals.
Strong support starts with trust, patience, kindness and consistent relationships.
We support fair access and equal opportunity for people from all backgrounds.

Dewakar Bhattarai DirectorOur Principles in Action
Empower Ability stands for support that is practical, respectful, culturally safe and grounded in real relationships. We believe quality care isn't something done to a person. It's something built with a person.
Empower Ability stands out because we are values-based, culturally responsive, person-led, and committed to all-in-one disability support. We reduce barriers, coordinate support, build trust, and provide care that respects the whole person.
